Okay sushi. Nothing out of the ordinary. The place is clean which I greatly appreciate. They offer standard bento boxes and sushi.
Pros: lunch specials--I would recommend this place for lunch not dinner. Dinner is a bit more expensive.
Cons: parking can be challenging because this place is located in westlake shopping center. -

Had a terrible experience because of Silvia or Sylvia. This person absolutely ruined my meal with her attitude and aggressive incompetence...and it wasn't just at me it was at my 94 year old grandma.
I highly advise the manager or owner to evaluate this employee who likes to falsely claim she's a manager. Who does that?!?!
I'll let you be the judge of the food, but I would advise you NOT TO COME HERE purely based on customer service.

SMALL PORTIONS
I was craving for sushi so I went to Spiral Japanese Restaurant at Westlake. When my food arrived, I immediately noticed the small sushi cuts. I thought about sending it back and complain.
Until now I was still thinking about sending it back instead of eating it. I will never go back again. -

Came on a Friday night for dinner and the wait wasn't too bad, maybe 10ish minutes for a table for 3. However, it all went downhill from there. The food is mediocre (our table ordered two bento boxes, katsu curry and a caterpillar roll). The service was really horrible. After ordering, we waited about 30 minutes for our food. We saw that other tables that ordered after us started receiving their orders. Yes, it was busy, but there really shouldn't be a 30 minute time after ordering.. especially without any follow up about our dishes. Had to grab someone's attention to ask about the orders. Soon enough, tables after us were already paying to leave while we just started to eat. They did offer a scoop of ice cream per person at the end of our meal to apologize for the wait, but I think something has to improve here. Been here a few times and there was always something to make the experience not an enjoyable one -- whether it's wait time or mixing something up with the order itself.

I have been to both Spiral places for years but this is my first time writing a review for them. Japanese food is good but not good good. Very reasonable prices.
For 2: we usually ordered 1 appetizer ( karaage, hamachi Kama, or soft shell crab) then Nigri combo plus any special roll, and a Spiral Ramen. Of course a large hot sake.
I gave 4 stars because the food is not consistent. Usually good
